We are pleased advise our stakeholders and members that the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC) has officially granted approval for the new name and updated Rulebook of our corporation.
Henceforth, our organization will be known as:
Gur A Baradharaw Kod Torres Strait Sea and Land Council Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal Corporation
This marks a significant milestone in our organisation’s journey, reflecting our commitment to cultural identity, inclusivity, and representing the diverse communities we serve.
Alongside the name change, ORIC has approved our updated Rulebook. This revised document incorporates valuable feedback from our members and stakeholders, ensuring it aligns with current legislation and best practices for governance within the sector.
